Shu Puerh – also known as ripened Puerh – is a fermented tea from the southwestern province of Yunnan, known for its earthy, warm, and full-bodied character. Through controlled fermentation, it develops a round, velvety taste with notes of wood, harmoniously accompanied by a slightly sweet finish.

Arguably the most well-known Yunnan tea, it is traditionally pressed into large 357-gram "wheels" called Bings. In this form, the tea can be stored for decades and continue to age. In the spirit of this tradition, our 4-5 gram Mini Tuo Cha (small tea nests) are also pressed. The compact shape makes portioning easy and preserves the aroma, allowing each Mini Tuo Cha to unfold its typical, intense flavor.

With the first infusions, Shu Puerh displays a strong, dark, coffee-like color. An intense yet very smooth tea that allows for a particularly large number of infusions. It is an ideal companion for hearty meals, as it has a fat-dissolving effect in the mouth and throat and stimulates digestion.
