Tea Pet - Smiling Crocodile
This cute crocodile is perfect for your tea tray. As an animal that lives in water, it especially enjoys a little tea shower. No tea is wasted when you give it to the crocodile.
Tea pets – also known as "Cha Chong" (茶宠) – are small clay figures that enrich traditional Gongfu tea rituals. They sit on the tea tray and are regularly poured over with hot tea during steeping, developing a unique patina and personality over time.
Our selected tea pets are all hand-painted.
Height/weight:
approx. 3 cm / 45 g
Use and care:
Cleaning: Do not use soap, only clear warm water and occasional rinsing. The goal is to preserve the developing patina, not to remove it.
We keep our range intentionally curated. We only include tea and equipment that completely convince us.
All of our teas have been tested by us and found to be delicious. They are excellently suited for ceremonial preparation with multiple infusions.
