Tea Pet - Sleepy Penguin
incl. taxes, plus shipping
Our little penguin tea pet has a rounded shape and a gentle, curious face. With its friendly gaze and textured surface, it looks like a little penguin chick just discovering its surroundings. It symbolizes togetherness, serenity, and happiness, and will accompany you through your tea ritual.
Tea pets – also known as “Cha Chong” (茶宠) – are small unglazed clay figurines that enrich traditional Gongfu Cha tea rituals. They sit on the tea tray and are regularly poured with hot tea during infusions, developing a unique patina and personality over time.
Our selected tea pets are all hand-painted.
Height/ weight:
approx. 4 cm / 70 g
Use and care:
Cleaning: Do not use soap, only clear warm water and occasional rinsing. The goal is to preserve the patina that forms, not to remove it.
We keep our selection intentionally small because we only stock tea and equipment that are truly excellent.
... and do good. Our teas are delicious and can be steeped multiple times.
