Pouchong (also known as Baozhong) is the lightest oolong tea with a particularly low level of oxidation, meaning its color could certainly pass for a green tea. Pouchong has its historical roots in the Chinese province of Fujian and is now predominantly produced in Taiwan, particularly in Pinglin.

In Northern Taiwan, it is one of the most popular teas, though internationally it currently remains slightly in the shadow of other Taiwanese oolongs. Unjustly so, in our opinion, as it combines fresh, floral aromas with subtle roasted notes and can delight both green tea and oolong lovers alike.

When brewed, our Pouchong releases a wonderfully floral scent, tastes sweet and mild, and has a buttery-smooth texture. A great tea to start the day.

Why did we add this to our shop?

The Pouchong Oolong completely captivated us with its floral scent. It is easier to prepare than green tea, and as a cold brew, it tastes super refreshing, with the floral notes coming through even more.
